KCCA FC will seek to put a halt on their winless streak against Mbarara City when both sides meet in the only Wednesday kick off at Lugogo.

The previous five meetings between KCCA and Mbarara City have seen four draws and one win for the Ankole Lions.

Mike Mutebi’s charges surrendered an early lead to lose 2-1 in the reverse fixture at Kakyeka last November.

Mbarara City will start a new life without Paul Mucurezi who joined Vipers on a three year contract last week.

KCCA will also have to negotiate the fixture without Allan Okello who has been ruled out by illness.

Sadam Juma, Hassan Jurua and Jackson Nunda are also out of the contest while Keziron Kizito and Simon Sserunkuma are serving a two month suspension.

Erisa Sekisambu, Mustafa Kizza and Mike Mutyaba will therefore be the players to look up to for inspiration.

Brian Ssenyondo and Sadick Sempigi will rely on Ibrahim Orit, Brian Aheebwa and Solomon Okwalinga to preserve their record against the defending Champions.

Mbarara City first choice goalkeeper Tom Ikara is ineligible to feature since he is on loan from KCCA. Gadaffi Gadinho and Jude Semugabi are also ruled out the encounter.

A much needed win for KCCA will take them to 35 points, one behind leaders Vipers.

Mbarara City are eighth on the UPL table with 19 points garnered from 15 games.
