Goals from Tony Odur, Ibrahim Kayiwa and first half substitute Mubarak Nsubuga ensured the revamping red eagles walk away with their third win of the season.

Odur struck as early as the 6th minute following an Eric Kambale assist to spring the Kefa Kisala coached men in the lead.

Former Proline man Andrew Kidega temporarily tied the contest at 1-1 in the 25th minute after converting from the spot following a Shafik Kakeeto foul in the forbidden area.

Kisala was forced into a first half change as Michael Birungi could not soldier on after sustaining a nose injury and was subsequently replaced by Mubarak Nsubuga at the hour mark.

Kambale was the provider once again for Kayiwa to superbly dink home Express’ second goal of the evening 9 minutes into the second period. The strike was Kayiwa’s third of the season.

With less than 10 minutes to normal time, Mubarak Nsubuga put the game beyond reasonable doubt with an exquisite strike from a Disan Galiwango orchestrated attack.

Odur together with the Nsubuga duo of Badiru and Mubarak were the only players booked by referee Ana Akoyi on the evening.

Victory elevates Express to the 5th place on 11 points, 3 shy from log leaders Vipers who they will face off with in the subsequent league fixture on Wednesday 7th November at Wankulukuku.

Paidha Black Angels continue to languish in the drop zone with 4 points garnered from 6 games but will hope to make amends when they host Mbarara City next Wednesday.
