“I am very excited by the challenge given to me by the Uganda Cricket Association. It has been an interesting journey since the process began in January.” The target of ODI status by 2020 is realistic but I also want the ladies to perform well.

I am looking forward to learning the culture of Uganda and I am sure within six months I will be addressing the media in the local language.” Said Mahatlane

UCA CEO Ondeko expressed his delight upon the appointment of Mahatlane

“We are excited that Mahatlane is finally in the country to take up the position. A lot ahead for the National team so early preparations are key.” His assignment will be to prepare the team for the tour to Qatar next month.” Stated Ondeko
