David Obua registered his first win as URA FC coach with a comeback win over Express FC at Mehta Grounds in Lugazi on Friday.

The tax collectors prevailed 2-1 over the Red Eagles.

This was a second straight defeat for James Odoch coached side after their 1-0 loss to Maroons FC last week.

Isaac Wagoina gave Express FC the lead in the 26th minute following a howler from URA FC custodian Denis Otim.

Laban Tibita thought he had restored parity for Obua coached side but his strike was cancelled for offside.

In the closing stages of the second half, URA FC’s pressure paid off as they were awarded a penalty when Express FC goalie Martin Ssenkooto trippled Joseph Ssemujju in the forbidden area.

Moses Aliro was entrusted with the responsibility and calmly levelled matters for the home side.

Tibita netted the winners with five minutes to normal time to send URA into delight and Express into anguish.

Victory sends URA FC into 6th place with 13 points while Express remain 8th on the table with 12 points.
