Uganda Hippos head coach Jackson Mayanja has named a provisional squad of 50 players to begin preparations for the AFCON U20 final tournament in Egypt next month.
SC Villa duo of Travis Mutyaba and Patrick Kakande headline the named squad.
The summoned team will enter residential camp tomorrow (Wednesday) at the FUFA Technical Center, Njeru, for a couple of days before shifting base to the Cranes Paradise Hotel, Kisaasi.
The Hippos qualified for the second successive time after finishing as runners up to Ghana during the 2021 edition in Mauritania.
They are in Group B along with the Central African Republic, Congo Brazzaville, and South Sudan.
The tournament will run from February 19 to March 11 in Egypt, in the cities of Cairo, Ismailia, and Alexandria.
