Vipers SC assistant coach Richard Wasswa is optimistic that they will soon end their goal drought.
The Venoms are yet to score in now five games across all competitions since Beto Bianchi took over helms at Kitende.
On Tuesday, the reigning Uganda Premier league champions continued to struggle as they played out to a goalless stalemate with Wakiso Giants at Kitende.
Wasswa asserts that they are work on the final third inorder to score goals in the coming fixtures
“We have been with the players for a short period of time and I believe with time we shall improve. We are to work on the final third and I am optimistic the team will start to score goals.” Said Wasswa
He added,
As a coach you have to expect any result in the game but it’s always important to work on challenges we have as a team. We badly needed the points against Wakiso and we played well just that we couldn’t score.” Said Wasswa
Vipers are winless in the five games they have played under Bianchi across all competitions.
The Venoms will next face off with Tanzanian Giants Simba SC in the CAF Champions league group C contest at St.Mary’s Stadium in Kitende.
