2023 AFCON Qualifiers: Uganda Cranes off to Egypt ahead of Tanzania double header

The Uganda Cranes contingent has departed for Egypt ahead of their AFCON Qualifier double header against Tanzania.

The contingent that travelled on Sunday is majorly comprised of locally based players.

Only Charles Lukwago and Halid Lwaliwa are the two foreign based players that travelled today with the rest set to connect with the team in Egypt.

The team will camp in Cairo for two days before relocating to Ismailia.

Uganda will host Tanzania on 24th March at Suez Canal Authority Stadium in Egypt. The two sides will face off for the return leg at Benjamin Mkapa National Stadium in Dar es Salaam on 28th March.

Uganda has only registered one point in their first two group F games.
