Kitara quest for Uganda cup quarter final in visit to Calvary

The round of 16 of the Stanbic Uganda Cup resumes today Sunday with two fixtures.

FUFA Big League leaders Kitara FC will play against fifth placed Calvary FC at Paridi Stadium.

Kitara FC lead the Big League table with 43 points while their opponents have 30 points from 20 games.

The first round Big League meeting between the two sides ended 2-0 in favor of Kitara FC at Kigaya grounds in Hoima.

Maxwell Owachgiu the Kitara FC captain believes all players are ready and set to give the best to progress to the next round,

“We are here for a mission, we are focused on the game and every plaper is ready to fight and see to it that we make it to the next stage.”

Owachgiu told the club media

The second game of the day will be FUFA Big League side Adjumani TC and Western Regional League side Bunyaruguru United at Midigo Primary School grounds.

The two winners will join Vipers SC, Express, BUL, Soltilo Bright Stars, KCCA FC at the quarter finals of the 49th edition.

BUL are the defending champions they defeated Vipers SC 3-0 in Masindi and this year’s final will be played in Lira.
