Uganda Cranes head coach Milutin Sredojevic alias Micho is delighted with his beleaguered troops win over of Tanzania in the Group F AFCON qualifying game.

Micho also hopes the Ugandan government does succeed in refurbishing Mandela National Stadium before the Cranes next home game against Algeria in June. Uganda hosted their first leg game against Tanzania in Ismailia following a CAF ban on the standards of the Stadiums in the country.

“It was very hard we had risked but in the end we got everything right. I believe the tactical changes we made at the end exactly worked with Miya, Mukwala, Bayo and Mutyaba coming in. I am very happy that one boy Mato who was part of our CHAN team has scored the goal, Miya has assisted like many times before. We have the same number of goal difference and same number of points with Tanzania.”

“Tanzania has Niger to play at home, we have Algeria to play at home and I hope our government does succeed in refurbish Namboole because it is our spiritual Football home.” Said the Serbian tactician

Uganda is currently third in Group F with the same number of points and same goal difference as second placed Tanzania. Already qualified Algeria who are Uganda’s next opponents are on 12 points while Niger are bottom with two points.
