Ssingo SS were crowned champions of the Mityana District USSSA Football qualifiers after beating Royal Giant High School 4-2 in spot kicks following a full-time draw.
Isa Bugembe was the goal scorer for Royal Giant High School while right back Sula Mpaga scored for Ssingo SS.
Felix Kawooya Ssekabuza now shifts his attention to helping his side Ssingo SS qualify for the nationals,
“It is a great honor and pleasure defeating the Royal Giant High School a side that has won seven titles in the previous eight years.”
“Now we shift our focus to the final qualifiers as our target is making our first appearance in the nationals in Fort Portal.”
Ssingo SS was drawn in Group C alongside Kisozi Seed SS, Highway SS Kiganda, Bageeza Seed SS and Bulo Parents SS
The Mpigi USSSA Zonal Football qualifiers will be played in Kasanda from Wednesday 13th to Sunday 15th where three teams will qualify for the nationals to be played in Fort Portal in May.
