KCCA title charge meets relegation bound Onduparaka at Lugogo

Onduparaka are a step away from being relegated and will be visiting an unfriendly ground at Lugogo against title chasing KCCA FC at 4pm.

KCCA are enjoying a rejuvenation under new coach Jackson Mayanja who has relentlessly spoken about settling for nothing but the league title.

KCCA can go top of the table if they win before the current leaders SC Villa visit Maroons on Wednesday.

Villa have 46 points from 24 games while KCCA come second with 44 points from 22 outings.

Mayanja has won both his first two games against Villa (4-1) and Gadaffi (1-0) last week in Jinja thanks to a Julius Poloto lone goal.

Onduparaka sit bottom of the table with 14 games from 23 games and could be officially relegated next week if they lose today at Lugogo.

The Caterpillars rallied from behind twice to force a 2-2 draw in the Arua Derby against neighbors Arua Hill in their last game.

KCCA will be welcoming Arafat Usama while Rogers Mato is a doubt.

John Revita (injury), Faisal Wabyoona (rehabilitation), Brian Aheebwa (family issues) and Dominic Ayella (knock) are all out of the encounter.

Onduparaka will be without Gaddafi Gadinho Anguzu and Ezra Bida who are out injured while John Rogers Okumu is suspended after accumulating three bookings.

Onduparaka will be expected to look up to Dennis Ojara, Emmanuel Oketch, Dominic Abonga and William Gama for inspiration against a superior opponent.

KCCA have won nine of the 12 meetings against Onduparaka since 2016 including the first round (2-0) at Bombo.

Onduparaka have won one which dates back in their debut season while two other games ended in draws.

Onduparaka have lost all their six away games against KCCA at Lugogo including a 7-0 and 8-0 drubbing.
