Uganda Cranes head coach Paul Put has summoned Charlton Athletic FC defender Nathan Asiimwe for friendlies against Comoros and Ghana in Marrakech, Morocco.
The defender joins other new faces who were named by the Belgian for the forthcoming games. These are Goalkeeper Giousue Bellagambi who features for Huddersfield in England and Toby Sibbick of Hearts in Scotland.
Asiimwe is a versatile defender and can feature anywhere across the backline.
Meanwhile, the Cranes will be without Allan Kyambadde (El Dakhleya) , Khalid Aucho (Yanga) and MFK Vyskov’s Aziz Kayondo due to respective injuries.
Uganda will lock horns with Comoros on Friday 22nd March and against Ghana on Tuesday 26th March.
