Jude Semugabi set to join new Uganda Premier League club

Newly Promoted Uganda Premier league side Kitara FC are set to sign striker Jude Semugabi.

Semugabi will leave his current home Mbarara City following the expiration of his employment contract. His contract at Ankole Lions will expire at the end of this month

Swift Sports Uganda understands that newly appointed Kitara head coach Brian Ssenyondo wants to reunite with Semugabi whom he previously worked with at Mbarara City.

Source reveal that the Semugabi is close to agreeing personal terms with the Hoima based side.

Semugabi joined the Mbarara based side from Kiboga Young at the start of the 2018/19 season on a three year employment contract.

He was instrumental for Ssingo during their 2018 Airtel Masaza Cup triumph where he emerged as the top scorer with 8 goals.

The forward was also integral in Kiboga Young’s rise from the third tier to the FUFA Big league during the 2017/18 season, scoring 17 times in regular season and 3 goals in the playoffs.

Kitara returned to the Uganda Premier league after finishing top of the FUFA Big League table last season.
