Ffumbe, Ngonge and Ngeye progressed to the quarter finals of the Bika Byabaganda Football tournament while last edition’s finalists Lugave failed to progress despite their victory over Ngo.
Ffumbe and Ngabi Nsamba played to a one-all draw at Kawanda SS.
Joshua Lubwama Leti scored for Ffumbe while Pius Kamoga was the goal scorer for Ngabi Nsamba.
The draw automatically eliminated Ngabi Nsamba as Ngonge progressed ahead of them with a crucial 1-0 win over Musu courtesy of Sharif Kimbowa’s sole goal.
Lugave were 2-1 winners over Ngo but that was not enough to see them through after finishing 3rd 8n A group with 10 points behind Ngo and Nsenene who had 11 apiece.
Daniel Mwanje was the goal hero for Ngo, Lugave’s two goals were scored by defender George Kaddu.
Nsenene will play this year’s quarter finals after they played to a one all draw with Nvuma..
Christopher Kawagu and Kinene Tebele were on target each for Nvuma.
Isaac Mpagi and Robert Sewanyana were the scorers for Nsenene.
The first leg of the quarter finals will be played on Wednesday 2nd August.
Ngo will play Omutima Omusagi, Ngeye is to face off with Nsenene, Ffumbe will be against Mbogo while Omutima Omuyanja is to face Ngonge.
