Buganda Province progressed to the quarter finals of the fourth edition of the FUFA Drum tournament despite suffering a 1-0 to Tooro Province at Kavumba.

Vianne Ssekajugo the captain believes the innagural winners have all it takes to emerge champions of the fourth edition,

“Special appreciation to the the administration, technical team and players for the team work that helped us progress to the quarter finals.”

“We never expected to lose but that’s football, defeat is a wake up call to us to work on our mistakes as we keep our heads high as we face the defending champions.”

For starters, Ssekajugo scored the two goals in a two legged final in 2018 as Buganda was defeating West Nile 2-1 to emerge champions.

Villa Oromchan was the goal scorer for West Nile, Ssekajugo was also named the MVP of the first edition.

Buganda Province (Zambogo) now shifts focus on facing defending champions West Nile in the quarter finals.
