Vipers set to part ways with experienced midfielder

Siraje Ssentamu’s time at Vipers SC appears set to end in June with the club not prepared to offer him a contract extension.

Vipers are not expected to renew Ssentamu’s stay beyond next month, Swift Sports Uganda understands.

In the just concluded season, Ssentamu has struggled for playing time most so in the second round due to the emergency of youngster Frank Katongole as well as experienced Patrick Mbowa.

The defensive midfielder is a product of St.Mary’s Kitende the feeder of Vipers senior team and has also previously featured for URA FC.

After his time at URA, Ssentamu returned to Vipers at the start of the 2019/20 season and has since won several league titles as well as Uganda Cup trophies.

He has been also one of the Vice captains at the six time Uganda Premier league champions.
