Isabirye rubbishes news about Gaddafi FC appointment

Gaddafi FC released a statement on Thursday, claiming that they had appointed Alex Isabirye Musongola as their Technical Director.

But the former Vipers SC head coach was quick to hose down the development and stressed that it’s is fake news.

“Please, disregard this fake news post being shared by Gaddafi Football Club and treat it with the contempt it deserves.

“I have not been appointed by any club and I’m very surprised about this post claiming my appointment without my consent. It is not true.” Said Isabirye via his social media platforms

Isabirye is currently without a job following his unceremoniously departure at Vipers SC in July.

Besides Vipers, Isabirye has previously coached BUL FC, URA FC, Kyetume FC, SC Victoria University, Soana FC, Kirinya Jinja SS and Somalia’s Horseed FC among others.

The former Cranes striker has won three League titles and five Uganda Cups but also won the King Daud Cup in Somalia and the FUFA Drum.
