Semugabi fires Kitara back to winning ways against NEC

Kitara FC returned to winning ways with a 1-0 victory over NEC FC a Uganda Premier league contest that was in Masindi.

Jude Semugabi scored the all important goal as Brian Ssenyondo coached side maximized points.

Kitara had suffered two back to back defeats in their previous two games against Maroons FC and BUL FC respectively. They also played out to a 2-2 draw with URA FC.

Semugabi’s fired Kitara into the lead in added time of the first period to send their faithfuls into delight.

Before Semugabi’s goal, NEC goalkeeper Samson Kirya had denied Solomon Okwalinga and Denis Omedi.

Enock Ssebagala came close to restoring parity for NEC but his effort kissed the Woodwork.

Victory takes Kitara to 16 points and are currently third on the log level with NEC FC who are fourth.

Kitara next travel to Kitende to face Vipers SC on Thursday next week while NEC FC host URA FC on Wednesday.
