Uganda Premier league champions SC Villa are to mark their record extending 17th title with a victory parade.
Swift Sports Uganda understands that record league will take to the streets on Saturday, 8th June to show off their silverware in a rite-of-passage victory tour around the city of Kampala.
Huge crowds are expected to turn out to see the record extending 17th league title being celebrated at several points on the streets of Uganda’s capital City Kampala.
SC Villa clinched the Uganda Premier league title on the final day of the 2023/24 season after a 2-0 win over NEC FC at Lugogo.
The triumph saw Uganda’s most successful club end a 20-year title drought. The Jogoos finished top of the table with 57 points while BUL FC and Vipers were second and third respectively.
Meanwhile, SC Villa will also lock horns with arch-rivals Express FC on the grand opening of the newly refurbished Nakivubo Stadium on Saturday, 1st June.
