NEC FC are set to appoint James Odoch as assistant coach ahead of the 2024/25 season.
This website can reliably confirm that Odoch will work as Hussein Mbalangu’s assistant in a massive coaching staff shake up at NEC.
Odoch has been unemployed since his departure at seven time Uganda Premier league champions Express FC last year.
Bastu Ssemuyaba who as been serving as one of the assistants at NEC is expected to leave the club.
Dudu Bosco is to be retained as one of Mbalangu’s assistants.
Odoch is a former Express FC and SC Villa midfielder and has previously worked with JMC, URA FC, Ntinda United FC, Nyamityobora FC and lately Express FC.
In their maiden topflight season, NEC FC finished sixth on the Uganda Premier league table with 48 points and were also runners up in the Stanbic Uganda Cup.
