BUL FC have parted ways with first-team players Joel Madondo, Edrine Mukisa Opaala, Vincent Zziwa and Mathew Odong Tayo.

Striker Madondo joined the Eastern Giants at the start of last season on a one year employment contract that expired at the end of the season.

This website reliably confirms that BUL FC will not to renew Madondo’s stay. He has also previously featured Busoga United, Wydad Casablanca and Gaddafi FC.

The club has also ended their marriage with Mathew Odong Tayo who had a year remaining on his two year deal he signed last year on his return to the UPL after leaving Tanzania’s Biashara United Mara.

Odong has previously featured for Kampala University, SC Victoria University (now defunct) and URA FC here in Uganda.

He also featured for Kenyan clubs Tusker FC, Kariobangi FC, Wazito FC and Zoo Kericho.

Edrine Opaala will also leave the club with a year left on his two year employment contract he signed at the start of last season. Opaala has previously played for Busoga United.

Vincent Zziwa is the other player released by the Abbey Kikomeko coached side. The former Busoga United attacker just like Opaala has failed to command a starting place at the club despite linking up with his former coach Kikomeko with whom they worked at Busoga and Jinja S.S.

BUL FC beefed up their coaching staff with the acquisition of former SC Villa head coach Ibrahim Kirya who will serve as Kikomeko’s assistant. They have also signed URA FC defender Najib Fesali, Dickson Matama from Jinja North United.
