English Football League Two side Port Vale is closing in on a move for Ugandan forward Sadat Anaku.

Anaku is currently a free agent after being released by Scottish side Dundee United but according to The Nerve Africa, he may now be on his way to Port Vale.

Anaku who joined Dundee United from KCCA FC in August 2022 on a two year contract, has been hampered by an achilles injury that has kept him on the sidelines for about one year.

Before the horrendous injury, Anaku played 14 games in his debut season, including two starts and managed only one assist in the process.

Port Vale FC who are courting Anaku’s signature are a professional football club based in Burslem, Stoke-on-Trent, England, which compete in EFL League Two, the fourth tier of the English football league system.

They have never played top-flight football, and hold the record for the most seasons in the English Football League (112) without reaching the first tier.
