The second edition of Councillor Wasswa Premier League Season will officially climax on Sunday, 13th October at Jomayi Playgrounds in Mutundwe Nalumunye.
The tournament is organized by journalist turned politician Robert Wasswa Ssebunya, who represents Mutundwe Parish in Makindye Ssabagabo Municipality.
“We organize such tournaments to help the youths in the community showcase their talents and avoid being involved into criminal offenses.” It has been a great football competition and I thank everyone who has enabled us stage this second edition and we hope for a fantastic grand finish.” Said Wasswa
The final will be between Bayern Munich against Crystal Palace while Manchester City will face off with Wolves in the third place playoff.
Bayern beat Wolves from Mirembe Cell 8-7 on penalties to reach the final while Crystal Palace defeated Manchester City from Wabiyinja 1-0 in the semi-finals.
On the action packed day, there will be a curtain raiser games with Radio Sapientia Staff taking on Team Managers, Mutundwe Musaale Team Vs Makindye Ssabagabo Councilor while U-14 Junior Teams: Kampala Grammar Mutundwe Vs Mother Care Preparatory School, Bunamwaya.
