The Federation of Uganda Football Associations (FUFA) Competitions Department has confirmed the dates for the round of 64 of the Stanbic Uganda Cup Fixtures.
Last year’s runners up NEC FC will travel to Mbale’s UCU on Friday 10th January in the game that will be played at Mbale City Stadium while Tepa FC will entertain three time competition winners Vipers SC at St. Aloysius Core PTC, Ngora on the same day.
The other game that will be played on 10th January will be between Pakwech Youngsters and Kigezi Homeboyz at St.Mary’s Omach Ground.
On Saturday, 11th January, Seeta United will host nine time competition winners SC Villa at Seeta Ground while Red Devo will entertain joint record winners Express FC on Sunday, 12th January at Namasale Tech Ground.
Holders Kitara FC will begin their title defense against Young Simba at Bombo Military Grounds on Sunday, 12th January whereas Garuga Star FC will host 2022 winners BUL FC at Cherished Ground.
403 Brigade will battle with 10 time winners KCCA FC on Tuesday 14th January at St.Daniel Comboni Ground. Both KCCA and Express FC are the record winners of the Stanbic Uganda Cup.
Non League side Football Classroom will welcome FUFA Big League side Buhimba Saints FC on Saturday, 25th January at Yes Centre. Football Classroom is managed by Felix Ssekabuza with experienced players such as Godfrey Walusimbi, Godwin Buule, Mike Sserumaga all featuring for the side.
The games will be played in a single legged tie with the winners advancing to the round of 32. The winners of the Stanbic Uganda Cup represent Uganda at the CAF Confederation Cup.
Kitara FC won the competition last year under the stewardship of Brian Ssenyondo beating NEC FC 1-0 in the final that was played at Muteesa II Stadium in Wankulukuku, Solomon Okwalinga netted the all important goal for the Royals.
