All set ahead of CAF Champions League first leg Quarterfinal Ties

The first legs of the CAF Champions League Quarter-Finals will officially kickoff on Tuesday, 1st at several Stadiums.

Following the Draw that was conducted last month, the first leg of the quarter-finals will take place on Tuesday, 1 April with the return leg scheduled exactly a week later on Tuesday, 8 April and Wednesday, 9 April.

Al Hilal (Sudan), AS FAR (Morocco), Espérance Sportive de Tunis (Tunisia), Mamelodi Sundowns, Orlando Pirates (both South Africa), MC Alger (Algeria), defending champions Al Ahly FC and Pyramids FC (both Egypt) are the clubs that remain in contention for this season’s title.

Six of the remaining eight clubs have lifted the title before, with Egyptian side Al Ahly eyeing a record extending 13th title.

Tunisia Giants Espérance are four time CAF Champions League champions (1994, 2011, 2018, 2019) , while AS FAR (1985), Mamelodi Sundowns (2016), MC Alger (1976) and Orlando Pirates (1995) each have a single title to their name.

Al Hilal and Pyramids FC who were impressive during the group stages are the only two sides yet to win the prestigious African competition.

CAF Champions League Quarter-Finals (Tuesday, 1 April):

•Mamelodi Sundowns (RSA) vs Esperance Sportive de Tunis (TUN)
•Pyramids FC (EGY) vs AS FAR (MAR)
•Al Ahly FC (EGY) vs Al Hilal FC (SDN)
•MC Alger (ALG) vs Orlando Pirates (RSA)
Winners of the double-legged encounters will already have their semi-final opponents confirmed as follows:
