NEC will be desperate to keep their title hopes alive when they host Kitara FC under the floodlights of Lugogo on Thursday.

Hussein Mbalangu’s side played out to a goalless stalemate in their previous league game at UPDF and will be aiming to keep within Vipers reach before the two sides face off next week.

They currently have 48 points and are four points behind league leaders Vipers SC and victory tonight will see them close the gap to one.

Kitara come into this game after sweeping aside KCCA FC in their previous league match and will be seeking revenge over NEC FC who smiled to a 2-1 win in the first round meeting.

Wasswa Bbosa’s side is fifth on the Uganda Premier league table with 35 points and a win will see them move to third place.
