Uganda drops in latest FIFA Rankings

Uganda has dropped one spot in the latest FIFA rankings released on Friday.

Uganda is currently 83rd in the World dropping from 82nd in the previous September rankings.

The Cranes fell short of reaching a historic World Cup after their chances were dented by defeat to Algeria on Tuesday.

During the October International break, Paul Put’s Uganda Cranes managed a 1-0 win over Botswana in Francistown before suffering a late defeat to Algeria to finish second in group G.

Curacao now occupies 82nd spot that the Cranes held in the previous rankings while East African neighbors Kenya are now 109th, Tanzania are 107th while Rwanda slipped to 131st.

Burundi are 145th while South Sudan is in 167th position.

Meanwhile, Morocco are still the number ranked African nation, followed by Senegal, Egypt, Algeria, Nigeria, Ivory Coast, Tunisia, Cameroon and South Africa respectively.

Spain stay as the number ranked side in the world, followed by Argentina, France England, Portugal, Netherlands, Brazil, Belgium, Italy and Germany respectively.
