Uganda Martyrs 0-1 Kawempe Muslim
Kawempe Muslim got their third win of the season after edging Uganda Martyrs 1-0 at the St. Gerald’s Stadium, Lubaga.
Striker Jovia Nakagolo scored the all important goal of the game in the 51st minute.
Following a barren halftime draw, Nakagolo found herself space on the left hand side of attack and whipped in a ball that wasn’t well dealt with by goalkeeper Joan Namusisi.
Prior to conceding, Namusisi had kept the encounter at 0-0 with a couple of point blank saves.
Nakagolo’s strike was her second goal of the season having scored the first in the 2-1 win over St. Noa last weekend.
The victory temporarily took Kawempe on the top of the table with 10 points having won three games and drawn the other.
Makerere University and St. Noa player out a 2-2 draw in the other game played at Wankulukuku.
Rashida Nankya and Allen Nassaazi scored for Makerere University while Dorcus Lwalisa and Patricia Nayiga got the goals for St. Noa.
Olila High School and Rines SS WFC also shared spoils in a 0-0 draw at the Olila Ground in Soroti.
