The organizers of the monthly Fortebet Real Stars have named the best sports personalities for the month of October on Tuesday at the ceremony held at Lazio in Kololo.
Chicago Marathon champion Jacob Kiplimo, Africa Champions Jemimmah Nakawala, and Farahat Manirola were crowned as the winners for the month of October, 2025.
The event was attended by Judith Nabuule from Jude Colour Solutions, Resty Mbatidde Namugema from prime Sponsor Fortebet, and Real Stars Chief Executive Officer Isaac Mukasa.
Kiplimo who ran 2:02:23 to become the world’s 7th fastest Marathon runner, while setting a new National record, breaking his own record he set in April 2025 to win the Chicago Marathon last month won the best of October in Athletics.
Jemimmah Nakawala won the Table Tennis accolade for her three straight wins, which stood superior for Team Uganda’s Qualification for the World Championship.
In the contest for the accolade, Nakawala beat teammates Pervin Nangonzi and Judith Mirembe to claim the Table Tennis gong.
Meanwhile Farahat Manirola was the Boxing Star scooping his second career Fortebet Real Stars accolade following his Gold medal at the East Africa Zone 3 Championship in October.
His first Fortebet award came in May last year after winning the professional belt in April.
To come out on top, Manirola beat Aziz Ringo and Willy Kyakonye to the Boxing gong.
The monthly winners are rewarded with cash prizes and accolades courtesy of sponsors Fortebet and Jude Color solutions.
