Uganda national netball team She Cranes has departed for Scotland ahead of the second edition of the Celtic Netball Cup.

Netball Uganda President Jocelyn Ucanda has confirmed that team captain Racheal Nanyonga and team doctor have not traveled with the team due to visa issues.

“The team captain Nanyonga has not traveled with the team, her visa has not come out and also the visa for the team doctor. I am left behind to ensure they get their visas so that they can join the team. This has not broken the spirit of the team, they are still very strong and resilient.” Once Nanyonga gets her visa the excitement in the camp will definitely go up.” Said Ucanda

The Celtic Cup is scheduled for 26th–30th November 2025 at the Emirates Arena in Glasgow, Scotland.

Hosts Scotland and the She Cranes will be joined by Zimbabwe, Northern Ireland, and Namibia at the six-nation round-robin event.
