KCCA FC edged Police FC 2-1 during the league game under the lights of Lugogo on Friday night.
It was a perfect revenge for the Kasasiro boys who lost 2-0 to Police FC in the first round meeting earlier this year.
Herbert Achayi fired the home side into the lead in the 16th minute when his free kick strike rattled the woodwork before crossing the line for the opening goal of the contest.
At the half-hour mark, Saidi Mayanja doubled KCCA FC’s advantage after being fed by Ivan Ahimbisibwe.
Two minutes later, Lawrence Tezikya pulled one back for the Cops when he pounced on a loose ball inside the box.
The second half did not produce more goals but KCCA had their defender Gavin Kizito stretched off following a heavy foul by Daniel Jakony.
KCCA FC held on to go third on the league table with 39 points and will next host SC Villa on Wednesday in the Kampala derby under the lights.
