Kitara draw Vipers as URA pair Villa in Stanbic Uganda Cup semifinal

The semifinal draw of the 52nd edition of the Stanbic Uganda Cup has been conducted on Thursday morning at Umoja House in Nakasero.

The semifinals will be played on home and away basis with the aggregate winner advancing to the final. The first leg will be played between 1st-3rd May and the return leg between 15th-17th

Reigning champions Vipers SC will travel to Kitara FC for the first leg before hosting the return leg with the aggregate winners prevailing to the final.

Vipers eliminated NEC FC at the quarterfinal stage while Kitara ejected Express FC. The Venoms are four time champions while Kitara won it in 2024.

URA FC have been drawn against nine time champions SC Villa with the tax collectors hosting first be for the Jogoos host the return fixture.

The Tax Collectors last won the competition in 2014 when they beat KCCA FC 4-2 on penalties after a 2-2 draw while Villa won it the following year also beating KCCA FC.

Villa are nine time competition champions are seeking a record equaling title this campaign while URA have previously won the event three times.

To reach the semis, URA needed a comeback win to overcome KCCA FC while Villa eliminated Happy Boyz Kagaba in the quarterfinals.
