The Group stage of 2026 Uganda Secondary Schools Sports Association (USSSA) Boys football championship climaxed on Thursday in Lira.
Joint record champions St.Mary’s Boarding School Kitende advanced to the round of 32 after topping Group P with seven points.
Kitende thrashed Seroma Christian High School 3-0 during their final group game at Lango College Sports Ground II.
Jordan Tugume, Nabil Kajumbi and Collins Ochatre scored the three goals for the 11-time champions.
In the same group, Kampala Zone champions Lubiri SS overcame Bukedea Comprehensive North 2-0 to seal a slot in the round of 32.
Malith Abui and Daniel Malual scored for the school managed by Dan Ssegawa. Lubiri finish second in the group with six points.
Following the completion of the group phase, the top two teams in each group progress to the round of 32 which will kick off on Friday while the other teams that failed to make it to the round of 32 will play classification games.
