KCCA FC head coach Abdallah Mubiru asserts that his side is unfairly treated as he reacted to their 2-0 defeat to rivals Vipers SC in their Uganda Premier League clash on Sunday at Lugogo.

Yunus Sentamu and Allan Okello first half goals were enough to earn the Venoms maximum points to stretch their lead at the top of the Uganda Premier league table.

Mubiru also believes being treated unfairly has inculcated into the mindset of his players but remains positive that they will turn things around.

“We tried but you know football is a game of moments and those moments determine the end results. So, we had a moment when we had made a clear penalty but that kind of demoralized us. We are still trying our level best to convince players to remain positive. There’s something that is inculcating into their mindset that we are being treated unfairly and it kind of disturbs our players and end up losing concentration.”

Said Mubiru before adding,

“We gave away easy goals we tried in the second half but we were not efficient in the final third so decision making let us down and it’s still a big challenge to the team. We are finding it hard to take away the chances. We shall keep talking to the players and fighting hard and I believe justice will come to us.”

Mubiru remains optimistic that they will return to winning ways

“Any team can lose, just like we are having this bad spell but we are just looking on. We need to correct our mistakes and start winning matches consistently because this is a marathon and at the end of the day the winner will be determined at the end of the season.”

Following back to back defeats to NEC FC and Vipers SC, the 13-time League champions are currently a distant 16 points adrift of the top.
