BIG LEAGUE: Kitara, Kigezi register hard grilled wins

The FUFA big league continued with five games which saw Kitara FC, Kigezi Homeboyz, debutants Saviours FC and Kataka FC register slim victories over their opponents.

Saviours FC rallied from behind to edge Dove all Stars 2-1 at Katusabe grounds in Masindi.

Sabir Adama put Dove all Stars in the lead before Fred Adriko scored in his own net putting the game to level at halftime.

Youngster Emmanuel Oketch scored the winner for Saviours FC 13 minutes to full-time.

Kigezi Homeboyz maintained their fine form after edging UPDF 3-0 at Bombo Barracks grounds.

Rodgers Tabule’s brace and Hassan Kakuru scored for Vialli Bainomugisha’s charges.

Alex Kitata and Fred Kalanzi who converted from the spot were on target for UPDF.

Water FC suffered a 2-1 defeat to Kitara FC in the early kick off which was played at 1:00pm at Bombo Barracks grounds.

Brian Mululi and Jamil Nvule Kisitu were on target for Kitara FC moving their tally to three goals each.

The duo where New Villa was hosting Ndejje University at St Paul’s Seminary grounds Fort Portal was not played despite Ndejje University travelling since the venue was not available for use and this will wait for official communication from the Competitions Committee.
