Farouk Katongole completes move to Express FC

Express FC have completed the signing of defender Farouk Katongole on a two year contract.

The towering central defender has been a free agent after his employment contract with URA FC was terminated at the end of last season.

Katongole is expected to boost the club’s defense that also has the newly appointed captain Isa Lumu.

“I am glad to be joining Express FC one of the biggest and definitely the oldest club in Uganda, with me am coming with experience and determination to help the club win as it has always done.”

Katongole said briefly after his unveiling.

He has also previously played for Uganda Premier League sides Tooro United and Soltilo Bright Stars.

Express have previously signed defenders Derrick Ngoobi and Andrew Kaggwa from Soltilo Bright Stars.

Other new signings are Kadi Bitakazibwa, Benjamin Gakumba, Marvin Oshaba, Hamim Semakula, Anwar Ntege and Yusuf Ssozi.
