Former SC Villa custodian appointed Vipers’ goalkeeping coach

Six time Uganda Premier league champions Vipers SC have appointed Ali Kimera as their goalkeeping coach.

Kimera replaces Ibrahim Mugisha who part ways with the club in December last year.

Mugisha had served in the position for almost four years since replacing Moses Oloya in January 2020.

Kimera who played for Kinyara Sugar Works, Masindi Town Council, Victors, defunct SC Victoria University, Chemeli Sugar, SC Villa, Dongnai (Vietnam), Saints, Mbarara City and Busoga United.

He also featured for the U-17, U-19, U-20, U-23 and the senior National team the Uganda Cranes winning three CECAFA Senior Challenge Cups.

As a coach, he has previously served at Welden High School in Mbarara, Terrazo and Tiles and was also Goalkeeping coach at Busoga United and Mbarara City FC respectively.
