KCCA Vs BLACKS POWER: Byekwaso to fight for job without key forward

KCCA FC will be seeking to return to winning ways when they host Blacks Power in a Uganda Premier league contest at the Philip Omondi Stadium on Saturday.

Under pressure KCCA FC head coach Morley Byekwaso be hoping that his side keep their 100% home record this term. The Kasasiro boys have won both of the games they have hosted this campaign against Wakiso Giants and Vipers SC.

The 13 time Uganda Premier league champions lost 1-0 to Maroons in their previous game at Luzira Prison grounds.

The visitors Blacks Power under the stewardship of Hussein Mbalangu will be aiming to build on the point they garnered against on fire Arua Hill in their last outing for positive results at Lugogo.

They however face a huge task, since they have scored just two goals this term.

Byekwaso who is seeking redemption will be without forward Muhammad Shaban, Filbert Obenchan, Hassan Jurua who are out injured. Faisal Wabyoona and Haruna Lukwago are with the national U20 team in Sudan for the AFCON U20 Qualifier.

The good news is that forward Brian Kayanja is in contention to play.

The visitors are to miss the services of Defender Mike Kawooya who is on indefinite suspension.

Facts:

The two sides will be facing off in the league for the first time. They have however previously met in Uganda Cup round of 32 in 2020 with KCCA prevailing 2-0.
