The Uganda premier league secretariat has confirmed the new date for Wakiso Giants’ meeting with Express FC that had been postponed.

The game was due to be played at Kabaka Kyabaggu Stadium in Wakiso on Saturday 11th November 23 but following the suspension that had been put on games involving Express it was postponed.

This was the second league game involving Express to be postponed after the Villa match.

The suspension was due to the hooliganism that happened after the game between UPDF FC and Express FC that led to serious injuring of assistant Referee Fahad Sekayuba.

The game will now be played on Sunday, 19th November at Kabaka Kyabaggu Stadium.

A statement from the UPL secretariat read that,

“Accordingly, M#56 Wakiso Giants FC vs Express FC has been rescheduled to be played on Sunday 19th November 2023.

The new date for the game between Express FC and their arch-rivals SC Villa is yet to be revealed.

This is because SC Villa currently has three players (Gavin Kizito, Kenneth Semakula and Umar Lutalo) summoned for Cranes World Cup Qualifiers against Guinea and Somalia.
