Both the men’s and women’s qualifying tournament will be held in Dakar, Senegal from September 9 to 15, 2023.

Baraka James was unanimously defeated (5:0) by Jamidali Adam in the heavyweight bout.
Ndagire Sharua beat Kansiime Phionah by split decision (4:1) in the Featherweight female category.
Grace Nankinga stopped Nantongo Shakira in round 2 of the Flyweight female category.
Uganda Boxing Federation President Moses Muhangi and the Uganda Netball Federation President Sarah Babirye Kityo both graced the special Boxing Champions league edition.
