Uganda Cranes captain Khalid Aucho has opened up on the suspension handed to him by his club Singida Black Stars.
On Friday February 27, 2026, the Tanzanian outfit suspended the Cranes skipper, accusing him of misconduct and absenteeism from duty.
“The leadership of Singida Black Stars SC, through its Disciplinary Committee, has taken disciplinary action against players Khalid Aucho and Amas Obasogie as follows:
Khalid Aucho: He has been found guilty of misconduct and unprofessional behavior and has been suspended from his duties for three months.
Amas Obasogie: He has been suspended from his duties for three months pending investigation into allegations of match-fixing.The club reminds all its players and staff to adhere to discipline, responsibility, and respect for the club.”
Aucho who was suspended along with goalkeeper Amas Obasogie responded,
“I have always carried myself with professionalism throughout my career, representing every club with respect and discipline.”
“In all my years in football, I have never been involved in any case of indiscipline because I understand the responsibility that comes with being a professional player.
“To my beloved fans who have always stood by me, this situation will come to pass. Thank you for your continued support.” Aucho stated on his social media platforms
Aucho joined Singida at the start of this season following expiry of his contract at Tanzanian giants Young Africans. He helped them reach the group stages of the Caf Confederation Cup for the first time.
