AIRTEL MASAZA CUP: Buvuma stun Buddu as Busiro fall to Ssese

Action in the Masaza Cup resumed over the weekend with several group stage fixtures at various playgrounds.

Ivan Lukwago late strike saw Buvuma stun Buddu in a Masengere Group contest at Kasaali playground on Saturday.

In the same group, Buluuli played out to a 1-1 stalemate with leaders Ssingo at Mijeera.

David Opio scored for Buluuli while inform Amuli Mukasa netted for two time winners Ssingo.

Kyadondo beat Mawogola 2-0 at Mwererwe Playground in the other Masengere Group game on Sunday.

Derrick Walugembe and Ramathan Manga scored for Kyadondo.

In Muganzirwaza Group, Ssese beat Busiro 1-0 at Kasekulo Playground on Saturday.

Anderson Ssenkoma scored the all important goal for Ssese to inflict Busiro to their their first defeat of the campaign.

Kyaggwe beat Busujju 3-0 in the other Muganzirwaza group game thanks to goals from Ronald Kizito, Farouk Mukasa and Kato Julius Kalule.

Bulemeezi needed Herbert Kibirango and Ronald Kaye goals to overcome Bugerere 2-1 at Kasana. Wandera Maloba scored a consolation for the visitors.

Meanwhile in Bulange group, Michael Abura scored the all important goal as Buwekula beat Kooki 1-0 at Kasenyi Playground on Sunday.

Gomba and Butambala played to a 1-1 stalemate in the other Bulange group at Kabulasoke Playground on Sunday.

Kenneth Kimera scored for record winners Gomba. Hassan Mubiru struck for Butambala.

Three time winners Mawokota beat Kabula 1-0 at Buwama in another Bulange group game. Mawokota smiled to maximum points courtesy of an own goal.
