Fred Amaku hits former side as Maroons crush Busoga United

It was a tough start for Paul Kiwanuka as his Busoga United got condemned to a 5-0 frustrating defeat by newly promoted Maroons FC at Luzira Prisons grounds.

It was Maroons’ first ever victory over Busoga United having faced off seven times previously.

Isaac Mpagi and Noel Nasasira made a mark each scoring on their debuts in the 11th and 76th minutes respectively.

Solomon Walusimbi was also on target scoring in the 71st minute.

Fred Amaku who was named man of the match at the end of the day bagged a brace, his two goals coming in the 16th and 25th minutes.

Busoga United had a chance to at least pull one back through captain Derrick Basoga from the spot in the 65th only his effort to be saved by goalkeeper Simon Tamale who was also making his debut.

No time to rest as both teams focus on their next fixtures next week .

The Prison Warders will visit Soltilo Bright Stars on Tuesday 4th-October at Kavumba Recreation grounds.

Blacks Power will visit Busoga United at Kakindu Stadium in Jinja a day later
