Stanbic Uganda Cup: Mbale Heroes, NEC FC power into the round of 32

Two time Stanbic Uganda Cup champions Mbale Heroes have progressed to the round of 32 after a 4-1 win over Blacks Power in Mbale.

The Eastern Region side came from a goal down to secure a place into the round of 32.

Mohammed Hassan had given Black Power the lead but Mbale Heroes rallied back through goals from Ivan Wako, Herbert Kibirango, Fahad Nsamba and Haruna Lukwago.

Hassan fired the visitors into the lead early in the first half before Wako restored parity before the halftime breather.

Late goals from Kibirango, Nsamba and Lukwago ensured that the two time competition winners complete an emphatic comeback.

Kampala Region side NEC also prevailed to the round of 32 after a comfortable 2-0 win over Eastern Region side Admin at the Bugolobi Coffee playground in Kampala.

The two games played on Sunday conclude the round of 64 except for the two games that are yet to be played that is Super Eagles against SC Villa and Kigezi Homeboyz taking on defending champions Vipers SC.

Both games were postponed since Villa and Vipers had players on the National duty. The date for the round of 32 draw is yet to be revealed.
