3 Ugandan players have joined Seychelles outfit Lions FC on 2 year contracts each. The three are Yusuf Ssaka, Steven Wava and Rajab Jooga.

The trio flew out of the pearl of Africa on Monday 25th June before putting pen to paper on contracts that will see them ply trade in the Island nation 2 days later.

The three players have been playing for FUFA Big League side Kyetume FC and were instrumental figures in the club’s unsuccessful campaign to gain topflight promotion. Kyetume FC agonizingly fell to Kitara FC in the play off semi final.

Their new club, Lions FC is located in Cascade, on the Island of Mahé. They gained topflight promotion in 2012 and host their home league games at the artificial turfed Stade Linite in Victoria.

Lions FC is currently tottering on the negative end of the Seychelles Barclays Division One League table with only 4 points garnered from 10 league outings. They sit 11th on the 12-team log.
