Last week, assistant Referee Fahad Sekayuba was badly beaten by allegedly Express FC fans after the 1-1 stalemate with UPDF FC at Bombo Barracks Grounds.
Following the incident the Uganda Football Referees Association decided not to officiate games that involve Express FC.
FUFA also released a statement regarding the incident that they had suspended all games that involve Express FC.
In regards to the incident that almost claimed Sekayuba’s life, FUFA President Moses Magogo has confirmed that so far two people have been arrested.

“As we speak Express FC is not guilty and no sanctions have been given. This is a police case and investigations are on going.”
So far two people have been arrested in connection to the incident.”
“As a federation we will engage our member (UFRA) but one thing must be made clear, hooliganism is bad and there shouldn’t be any pretence about it.”
Said Magogo on FUFA TV Program Tutegere Omupiira before adding,
“We will fight hooliganism with all the means amd tools, peope will be imprisoned.”
“Let us condemn hooliganism with one voice, do not make a mistake we will deduct points and if you are a repeated offender the club will be relegated.” Added Magogo
The Federation is yet to confirm when games that involve the Red Eagles will continue.
